Where Did It Go…this Life?
Where Does Time Go…
Relentless this mind to wander,
to sift through the sands of past,
the joys and what’s pained the most,
in this journey of time’s preponderance.
When past is far more than future’s moments,
one measures the balance and in past may slip,
to relive life for all it has meant,
and in balance find a purpose.
So speedily time arrives,
its impartial view no deliverance,
yet we must make peace with its fleeting,
for life comes so slowly, yet goes so quickly.
And in memory, we realise that spell,
that taking for granted,
until its almost too late to appreciate,
all those moments now gone.
Life is moments, one after another,
and if we are not present,
we lose so much, experience so little,
and stand looking back to wonder,
where did it go.

How true Tony…the clock ticks so quickly and if we don’t make an effort to live and enjoy the present moment, we would regret it at the end..the past is unchangeable and the future is unknown, so we only have the present that lies within our control…thank you so much for sharing your masterful words..
