Not Part of Life Our Choice
Not Part of Life…a sin
World without hope, hope without heart,
heart without possibility, and possibility without start;
all that we may lose to our own failing faith,
when darkness encroaches upon a soul’s grave,
unable to perceive the light.
Do we just accept or rally our strength,
a candle but a glimmer of truths relent,
or are we to restore our purpose,
tell the world this is wrong, this hatred,
and open the light to all in shadow’s wake.
For we must stand for something,
apathy a purposeless stance,
for change shall never accompany,
an unwilling heart to dance,
a soul lost to its own ineptitude.
World without love, no life at all,
without reason and purpose a sham,
and living in darkness fulfilment awry,
a heart without knowing just stone,
as blood surges within for resolution,
of the greatest sin of all,
not part of life our choice.

We have been given the gift of life, and the greatest gift of all: the ability to know and give love. It is alarming, almost unbelievable that such a huge portion of humanity would prefer to choose hate and killing. Great work, Tony. This is the type of message/lesson that should be taught in schools and universities as standard curriculum. Well done.
