Minefields and man
Minefield and Man
In the aura of a relationships a man is but a man
his emotions his alone
how many kingdoms traded away
so take away this broken throne
Love is but a minefield
and a man evolves with no legs
How does he even survive
the question quietly begs
To the angels in the outfield
we will ask until the ends
funny thing about love though once it’s lost
you will never be just friends
In the end they only draw the blade deeper and deeper
as false emotions burn us alive
stoke up the fires of bliss
and wonder why no man survives

Very emotionally stirring poem, Ed, and well phrased. Great work, dear friend.
Nicely emotive Ed and well penned of our undulating lives of learning. Life is indeed a minefield and all we experience fodder for the soul. Great work my friend.
Really nicely penned. The emotions just shine through and most thought provoking.
