At Last I Am Home

At Last I Am Home…words in flight

Every now and then in life, we feel trapped, woven so securely within circumstances we cannot see release. That is when we need a break, a communion with life, with nature, with those we love. And in doing so we realize what we have, what we truly love and need to survive this often tumultuous journey of life. Coming home is more than a joy, it is a confirmation of who we are, and what we want in life. Clarity then becomes our true purpose.
At Last I Am Home…words in flight

Tender is the moment of return,
words unsaid the amassing of a dam near bust,
and I, withered from the wait,
brimming with release’s open arms,
sit in joyous state.

From paradise to reality’s din,
I grasp my past with indifference,
for each moment from now to eternity is mine,
words sublime to navigate my course,
from whispered secrets of nature’s time.

My heart full from loving kin,
aspired lives in vibrant forests of forgiveness,
just to be within Her giving breath,
leaves and bow and songbirds resound,
in colours more real that gloaming’s quiet death.

I breath each moment with joyous gratitude,
that brings me back to love’s sweet hold,
to know I am within the fold of this journey’s purpose,
and words my key to service,
to beauty write the truths apparent.

Returned I am in brighter light,
invigorated within the sight of life’s gifts,
such fodder for a writer’s uplifting pursuit,
and as words alight upon the virgin snow,
I know, at last I am home.
