The Node, Where I See Me

The Node, Where I See Me
The Node, Where I See Me

Tis but a node, a link to elsewhere,
that my mind wishing solace takes, a sanctum need,
and in the darkness of my inner being,
where void is filled with shadows,
I find light, a beacon of hope,
nestled within the darkness of my keeping,
the lost reminders of falling,
that often suppresses my steps.

Here in the silence of ominous weight,
each step is a work of redemption,
and even though the past cannot hurt me now,
it lingers still in dreams,
and its shadows haunt my light;
and so I seek that small emanation within,
like a candle in the wind,
yet of hope it shines and endures.

This world is the play of life in reflection,
choices are directions,
the shadows remain, but light entices change,
so I seek the new, the potential,
and wish to keep shadows free,
not bound to me, more than a reminder,
so I can walk my path unencumbered,
and see more than I have.
