My Romantic Pen For Hire

Given what I know the flow keeps on,
and after its over I’ll be dead for sure,
but for now it cannot be eased, ceased,
cannot be a reprieve for me,
just an incessant endless flow of words,
absurd in every sense of my being,
seeing what flows through,
what words describe my ride
and abide my sentient mind.

A vessel am I,
where thoughts impinge on my every move,
my every postured stance,
to glance at what’s proposed,
and apropos my feelings written
in sanctimonious hues,
often too tired to view the current,
what’s placed before my soul
to know and tell the truths I hold,
foretold within my ancient dark past.

When open and not sleep deprived,
I ride that current,
and the beauty that unfurls
does curb my churlish moods,
to follow all the angst with possibility’s stance,
to romance a mind so open
that love itself does crystallize upon my pen,
and I arrive at my destination so much faster,
mastering this written word as art.

And what more is there,
a love of words and time to burn
as a soul in repose does spill its very core,
and so I follow this path,
this endless aftermath of thought,
I aught to be writing everything down,
poetry just the beauteous eye of art,
and I with much more to say,
without decay I fashion life my way.

Such is the flow,
my bow from which my arrow flies,
to hearts of readers and my bull’s eye,
rendering beauty’s guile,
its fragile mark upon a heart
and I from the start,
a romantic pen for hire.
