Insanity to Inert

Insanity to Inert
Insanity to Inert…where truth dares not enter

So speaks the voice of insanity,
to malign that which proves to be truth,
and with sympathy for dark rewards,
concludes lies are a better ruse,
yet failing life and self takes toll,
and eventually broken that will to hurt,
when reality finds a heart astray,
and in pain the heart finds judgement day,
a life fallen, inert.

Not Karma but balance finds the inert soul,
stagnation and hurt its every moment,
until deliverance offers a hand for change,
that may or may not rearrange that life,
lost to its own propensities;
and so insanity may prevail,
manipulations and the power
thought too much to give away,
yet still they’ll remain in life,
time like a ticking bomb, degrades.

And so I see them zombie-like,
unaware of their immanent doom,
walking a tightrope as the puppet master,
their fall neither seen nor assumed;
and in their vacuous minds
where morality and reality are groomed,
they embellish their fantasy visions,
for no light of truth dares enter,
as it knows it won’t been seen, never be in tune.

    It seems like a certain type of chemistry or disease can break down what was once a balanced soul with a balanced life. In the last few years I have seen this happen to two people I was once very close to and now cannot abide to be near them, for they intentionally destroy what once was. You have expressed this destruction of a soul very well, Tony.
