I Love Being Nude, and Other Random Bits of Poetry

I Love Being Nude
I love being nude,
Though some think it rude.
Why I suppose
Do we need to wear clothes?
No other creature
Utilizes this feature.
You don’t need to be brave
To show what God gave.
Some say it offends,
But that really depends.
This is how I was born,
It’s not like it’s porn.
Maybe when it snows
There’s a need to wear clothes,
But the rest of the time,
You show yours, I’ll show mine.
Who care what you show
from your head to your toe.
Your body is sacred
So feel free to go naked.
President Trump
Congratulations Mr Trump
You ran a strong campaign.
How you won many are stumped?
It went against the grain.
Your acceptance speech impressed me,
You were humble in your win.
It gives me much more confidence,
There is a heart within.
Daddy’s Girl/ Mamma’s Boy
Are you Daddy’s little girl,
Or maybe Mamma’s boy?
Or do both parents dote on you
For making life a joy?
Sometimes you form a special bond
With just your mom or dad.
This just happens naturally,
So can’t be seen as bad.
Nowadays couples often split,
Families are torn apart.
The parent that you don’t live with
Often traps your heart.
Maybe you’re an only child,
Or have a single mom or dad.
You have no choice but form a bond
With the only one you have.
No one can judge what’s normal
In society today,
So most situations that you’re in
Are accepted and OK.

Yaaay John! Naked is natural, so go for it. I love that poem and the whole round of poems. Well done and enjoyable to read.
PS: Can we take selfies? No frontispiece, just backcovers. LOL
Haha, Phyllis. Just having a bit of fun. Maybe 30 years ago I may have taken a selfie…oh no..smart phones with cameras and such didn’t exist then, thank goodness.
Oh John, naked? could never understand it. They say that the human form is beautiful: when you are 14, everything after then just gets droopy and swollen and in the end, I appreciate the complexity and miracle of life, but looking at bodies after say 50 odd, ain’t a pretty sight. lol Nice collection John, I also think people should shut up and give Trump a go, that’s who they voted for. Cheers!
I was writing this from a perspective of maybe 30 years ago, Tony, so don’t worry. As you say, young bodies are beautiful…but things tend to go downhill with age.
Glad you enjoyed this collection…and yeah it’s only fair Trump has a fair go.
Cheers back!
I Love these John , what is this thing called humanity ? The animal world must look at us sometimes and think – ” Oh Boy oh boy what are they wearing ?” I’m not so sure its a great thing either – that may be why we all want to come back as some form of an animal ! Merry Christmas !
Hey, thank you, Ed. Just a bit of silliness to bring a smile or two. You could be right about wishing to come back as an animal. Merry Christmas.
This is so awesome John… loved it
Hey, Kurt, glad you enjoyed this rather strange collection.
Loved the humor in the first and the fairness of both the first and third..great write John..thank you for sharing..
John I truly loved the first one. The flow, was almost flawless. And let’s be honest it takes a lot of courage to go naked. And Trump needs to be given a chance. He can’t be any worse than what we have already. Good work John.~Paul
Thank you, Paul. Much appreciated. I agree that Trump at least needs to be given a chance.
Thank you for the kind comment, Anjana.
Enjoyed reading all of the poems. The first poem had me chuckling away!
Thank you for reading and enjoying this random bit of silliness, Nithya. Cheers.
Brought some chuckles. Hats off! Humour is our saviour, isn’t it?!? 🙂
Hi, Surabhi. Haha, glad you got a chuckle out of this bit of silliness. Yes, we need a little light-hearted humour in our lives.
Well, well were going a little naked here are we, love it. I won’t say more than this, I laid Naked once on a beach with others and it was rather fun, but your right about as we age, the dropping is a sight. Lately I’ve kept my clothes on though mate. As for President Trump, I was behind him all the way and I’m not even American, but a lot has happened since his throne speech;-) The leftist media should let up on him and give the man a chance, I’ve never seen such a Trump hating media puke out what they do on air, it’s a bloody soap opera. Well that’s all I’m going to say about that: Your poems were beautifully expressed, enjoyed both of them my friend.
Thank you, Vincent, glad you enjoyed this bit of frivolity. Yes, I tend to keep my clothes on these days in public. Don’t want to cause a riot of people running the other way.
As for Mr Trump, I say just shut up and leave the guy alone. Like it or not he is the elected president. He may run the country into the ground, but then again, he may not. Just wait and see and vote him out at the next election if he fails.
Ha ha…ya, you might wanna put those pants back on when it snows! You might get frostbite 🙂 ha..ha..
Thank for the …um…tip, Tamara 🙂 Fortunately, it never snows here so I’m thankful for that..haha
Ohh, best add some Sunblock, then 🙂
Love your poem. Have reposted on my blog with link to yours. Thank you.
Thank you, Frederico. Glad you enjoyed this. Feel free to repost as long as you link back it’s all good.
