Being Free within the Perceived Limits of Living
Free your mind from oppression,
for it does not have to find purchase
in the one place we are free,
the vast and eternal universe of our thoughts.
Free yourself from fear,
for it has no substance in life,
thoughts alone stir it into being, when
what can happen, rarely does.
And fear not death, our greatest fear,
for life never ends, just repeats,
and when at peace with death
what fear can hold a life as hostage? None.
Free yourself from pain,
for resolution and forgiveness release us from pain,
and instead we aspire to betterment,
the lessons learned our foundation.
Free yourself from anger,
for it embodies hatred and darkness,
and indignation often attributes to ego and pride,
neither of which are progressive, simply stagnating.
Free yourself from greed,
for possessions are meaningless
and pursuing status an indication of insecurity of worth,
which limits growth to a great degree.
Immerse yourself in love and a spiritual life,
for that is the only way to true happiness,
all else is glitter without substance,
and substance is what we aspire to have in our ascension.
Life is hard, there are no easy lives,
its how we deal with them that defines who we are,
and in finding a stillness within,
we may see the truth more plainly, and live more purely.

This is what live for, Tony. Once in awhile I get caught up in hurt and anger, then remember to find that “stillness within”. Sometimes I turn to a friend to help guide me back to my path and what a blessing that is. Yes, we must free ourselves from all human frailties that stand in our way.
