Her world of words

World of words

She stays a captive in her own world,

adjacent to a sea of myriad words,

where waves of imaginations spray drops of life

on mundane shores of harsh realities,

and her thoughts flood over mind’s narrow confines,

yearning to touch all that exist beyond.

Her words mirror the luster of finest pearls

as she strings them together in delicate rhymes,

and align them neatly on barren sheets of paper,

lending them new heartbeats and lives,

as she coerce abstract thoughts from their womb,

and bring them to more tangible realms.

Yet, many look upon her words with disdain

demanding to know their worldly worth,

comparing her heart that just longs to be heard

with the hollow glitter of money and fame,

and relegate her words to paradigms of wasted ink,

even as they burn crystal bright in silent protest.

Her words like the wandering stars utter a sigh,

while they slowly fade from the midnight skies,

their beauty and sheen never admired by eyes,

because they were not fated to greet the morning light,

still they leave with a promise to shine more brightly

if they are born again the next night.

What delightful words you weave onto the page, Anjana. I think all writers and poets especially can relate to this. Many others can not see the value in what we write and think we are “wasting ink”. Well done.

Your phrasing here is wonderful Anjana, so rich in words, so warm with intent. And we all feel these feelings, as all we want is to be read, our hearts known to the world. But many will never understand our need to write, to express our very heart and soul, and it is the doing of this gifted talent that is important: not money or fame but our aspirations of beauty. You work is beautiful Anjana, surpassed all I’d ever hoped for you when we first met. You are a true and gifted poet my girl. Lovely work.

Tony, I know that you understand my feelings behind this write..long time back I have stopped telling people that I write in my free time because most of the responses are like”so what, everyone can write”..and I can’t tell how grateful I am for each and every word of encouragement you gave even when I started to write..so kind of you..

Wonderful phrasing in this very meaningful poem, Anjana. We all have doubts at times as to how our words are received – their is no doubt that yours are received well and admired. Very good work here, well done.

Your words admired by hearts, by spirits, by minds… by those eternal objects, their sheens but celestial lights, I know You’ve paint Your self here dearest Anjana, and You’ve painted me too, touch me again in a special part, speaking of thoughts I know, thoughts I feel too.. big different between writing and creativness, Yes everyone can write, but not everyone can be creative, so NO no one writes like YOU my fine poetess friend, and leave them to be jealous as much as they can be… this is but another favorite to me, and I’m grateful for it, grateful for Your pen, grateful for You.

Dear Anjana, the passion you present here is palpable. Words which give this soul life transcend where reality goes. Ways of expression through words are inexhaustible, for such is the mind. You bring true personality here, where positive and negative meet, in the unending search for meaningful expression. This is my world, as it is for all writers who seek plausible reception of their mind’s thoughts. Beautifully written from the soul which enters into and endures all things.
