Perceptions Endless
Reality is a mirror maze
of reflections and delusions,
and it would take smashing just about every mirror
to find the remaining, standing reality;
and so it is in life, our assumptions rarely right,
and so many delusions fall
before we discover the truth.
What we believe is often
a shot in the dark, or worse what we want,
rather than what truly is beneath all the confusion,
that is often displayed for our benefit,
from those who have investment in outcomes;
and so we live in belief of false reality,
while those with stakes
benefit from our ignorance.
Tis the way of the world:
keep the masses distracted,
fed on what they want to hear and know,
while those in control do their best to profit,
from the covert realities of control,
manipulating, imploring
and with carefully orchestrated events,
gaining opinion and support for their next foray.
They say ignorance is bliss, yet to me
it robs me of the truth in which I choose to live,
and that is unacceptable,
so I explore truth with an open mind
and dismayed by what I find,
my hearts sinks for where humanity is heading,
and I pray for change,
that in some way we can all find peace.

This world needs peace and it is obtainable. Those who think their voices are small are learning that more and more people are heading in the right direction for peace. Very well penned work, Tony.
