Love Will Find Reign

What more can I do but be,
the contentions and pressures around me,
are just mirrors of illusion, sent to test a mind,
a soul devout in peace and the ideals of love.

I am an insignificant aspect of the turning cogs of life,
within which I observe,
not equipped to struggle and strive for place,
I remain in my own place, perfectly happy.

I watch the struggle and contentions,
the warring and conflicts for power and acquisition
and feel pity for the lost, unconnected to the real world,
lost within the fantasy of self-importance.

I feel their pain,
yet I cannot take part in their lies,
the seeming good so maligned by greed
and the manipulation of consciousness.

It breaks my heart to see such cruelty
and undeserved pain and death,
when all life deserves the opportunity of potential,
regardless of race, creed or religion.

Yet in honorable names, deeds are committed
in sins and failing beliefs,
that corrupt thinking to believe righteous hypocrites,
so deluded by their egos, they cannot do wrong.

And so I sit and watch the madness,
share, love and care for my family,
laugh until I cannot stand
and speak until the truth dries up,
or someone else’s lies consume me,
nonetheless, I cannot and will not change,
as I believe love will find reign.
