In the Light of So Much More

Rain Forest Light…

The brook gurgled sweet sibilant sounds,
like an endless trill chime in a gentle breeze,
and bird call in joyful syncopation,
echoed free within the rustling leaves,
high above.

Light, spattered
through twisted vines and bows,
to fall to ground in dotted frenzies,
and the whole forest swayed with movement,
as if the following of a conductor’s baton
amid a symphony.

As all life in tiny sounds
of scratching, foraging and hunting,
seemed to stir the air, a collective vibrant verse
of a poem as yet unread,
melodies finding thread within the breeze.

And above the green infused canopy,
the endless blue ensued in stark reality,
as life in flight and burrow
and land and waters narrow,
did praise the day that held their hopes.

For this is life in harmony,
each soul a facet of infinity,
and each moment felt a great and noble cause,
each breath a joyful knowing,
a humble growing in the light of so much more.
