Having Faith in Providence
Providence…coming together

Elected officials are not gods,
not perfect, nor can they change alone,
the direction of a world under siege,
and those who create mayhem in the name of protest,
just cause harm and attest their choice
as evil as they.
What appears is rarely so,
and many take panic to heart,
and in doing so create more damage
than the elected would or could do in office,
and so their must be acceptance,
for what good may come is limited
by these acts of thoughtless protest and disruption.
When a country chooses
by democratic process, a new leader,
then that leader must be given
opportunity to prove themselves,
and an uncontested position in which to do that,
otherwise those protesters are against the very system
that affords them their say.
There is more to Trump
than the brash slanderer of campaign strategy,
and his performance and interviews so far have proved that,
so have faith in providence alone,
and let America come together as one,
for divided she faces much worse than
an unpopular president.

This is a marvelous piece, Tony. Trump is far from perfect, but he fought hard and showed stamina. And he has given us courage to speak up. We owe him the chance to be a good leader. My fear (and the fear of many others) is that these riots are instigated and encouraged by the people we voted down so martial law can be imposed on us. It that happens, Trump will be out and we will be under evil people. You have a well-phrased and great piece of work here. Thank you, Tony.
I fear that greatly, and it just shows how unjust the system can be. I pray for this to end, as the man deserves a chance, and the Clintons do not. That’s for sure. Glad you appreciated the thoughts Phyllis.
