Border Wall, A Call To Action
If you build it, they will come
That’s always been the rule of thumb
But what if it’s a border wall?
Very long and very tall
Gates and guards on high alert
Keep away or you’ll get hurt
Putting all our plans in order
Regulate who crosses the border
Time to stop the flow of drugs
Detain the dealers, arrest the thugs
Good fences make good neighbors
Separate who has legal papers
Americans will benefit
Help reduce the deficit
Make us more competitive
Some deem it protectionist
It’s all about our security
To maintain our national sovereignty
Keeps what’s ours, keep what’s yours
Time to grow, time to mature
Open borders and refugees
Tell us how that benefits me?
American workers for American jobs
Avoiding the cartel hit squads
Tell the world the practice ends
We’ll build the wall and still be friends
But we cannot let our laws be trampled
It’s a risk, we’re willing to gamble
If it helps the economy
The masses will begin to see
Factories will return to Tennessee
Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan
Once again will say “we can”
Rebuild, reinvest, a modern plan
To make America great again
It’s necessary, and time to begin
For those against a border wall
Are you hoping that America falls?
Our nation gone the way of Rome
Patriots left without a home
Floods of others from other lands
Our properties changing hands
The Middle Class has gone below
Average folks with nothing to show
The things they had to forgo
While the Globalists ran the show
Now it’s time to take things back
Get the nation back on track
Something real and not just spin
Give our citizens a chance to win
Walls have worked throughout history
Read the text, it’s not hard to see
Why sometimes is a mystery
A nation without laws means very little
Driven down to second fiddle
Stuck in the quagmire of the middle
Wake up people, this is the USA
A nation that has led the way
For prosperity both home and away

Build that darn wall asap! I love this. Great work, Ralph.
A well written and catchy rhythm to this poem and a lot f good points contained within the walls.
Nice word play Ralph, and lets hope this changes and the US gets back to what it should be.
