There is More in the Secret Garden
Sun glimmers blue,
radiating sky in hues unseen,
before a mind decided to seek beyond the eyes,
to recognize the beauty herein
and no longer disguised by the lies
that hold us down in this world of dreams,
this rational belief of what we see,
agreed and force-fed till it appears the only way.
Yet life is filled with surprise,
layers within and without to compromise our beliefs,
and sight is only limited to what we seek,
and belief just holds us back,
as what is there is so much more,
the truth of connection and energy stored
in every living thing,
every stone and plant and thought
just brings us closer to truth.
A tree is alive in every facet of perception,
sharing energy in all directions,
with the earth and every other life,
its roots like fingers to explore its surrounds,
as it nurtures its own young, and life abounds,
informs its neighbors of every qualm
and event the environment endures,
like community in all respect ensues.
Each leaf a myriad of river flows,
energy trails through veins and surface go,
feeding, delivering information understood,
and following that sun’s arc as it should,
to grow stronger and to breathe,
so oxygen is released to feed our needs,
while birds and insects in symbiosis,
live productive lives and flourish.
Buds turn blooms unto the sun,
reaching, stretching to open their beauteous plumes,
and colors bring the bees and birds to suck the nectar
and propagate those precious flowers,
while in families they ensue,
gifted connections of root and pollen too,
to speak their language of perfection,
and know their place and direction within it all.
