Take This Afterglow
Afterglow
I will take away your fears I will
take away your pain
follow me to this afterglow for when we feel it
you will find me
and I you
And when we are through with the passion and lust
we will know the meaning of trust
just don’t wait too long
for an afterglow is but a fleeting mood
and a mood meant to change
The colors spellbinding the satiation short lived
for one measure of true love is a lifetime in waiting
and a lifetime in waiting ?
So go ahead avoid my eye’s seek the
pleasures of instant gratification
I can no longer take this pace and I cannot
slow your heart-rate again
For in my time serenity came at such a cost
and that cost was never a friend
Sometime in my life, I started to write about my life journey, or in poetry, in story perhaps to sort out the missing from the found perhaps and enter them into a place of safekeeping. The soul of the writer is perhaps best described in their own words, emotions and thoughts. If these poems or stories touch something inside you then maybe I have succeeded in sharing. I will not write about my self in profile, because self isn't so important in writing. Only the journey in words and the sharing are important. Why would we say "Now about me!"... I'd rather write about life, nature, serenity ...
