Reprieve from the Struggle
Meditation, reprieve from the struggle

Reprieve from the daily struggle of life
Seated in my mind, I redress the outside world,
for pain and deceit prevail,
so I placate my fears to find harmony within,
and in this sanctum, so dark and silent,
there is a warmth of knowing,
a safety in being just who I am.
Recounting dreams and fallen hopes,
I free those deaths from moist cold graves,
to give them flight as birds,
and to soar my inner vast caverns
to find peace in un-tethered realms,
so none shall return and in lament, betray.
And in these serenely quiet moments,
I revel in freedom of thought,
where body still attests another world,
I here, refute its morbid ills,
instead find peace in languid dreams,
of plans and beauty to fill my creative leanings.
In the stillness I understand the movement of life,
feel its tensions and strife,
yet underlying is its divine perfection,
and I focus upon these seeds,
to hopefully manifest in my life,
where body and mind do struggle.

A soul very much in tune with Self. Expertly worded Tony. May you always walk in Peace and Harmony.
Much appreciated Phyllis. Take care.
‘There is warmth of knowing,
a safety in being just who I am’
The beauty of the concept held in meditation, the ability to weed out the chatter and accept oneself and find balance in the moment.
Enjoyed it Tony.
Best,
Mel
