A Loving Intent Prevails

A Loving Intent Prevails
A Loving Intent Prevails…microcosm and macrocosm

Within a drop,
one glistening, crystal drop,
a world exists like our own,
with righteous, ambivalent and malicious plans
that unfold as it does here,
the play of life replicated in microcosm;
and it is astonishing,
those forms and shapes so familiar,
as we recognise the hand of creation,
the deft loving hand of replication,
the master’s recipe for existence.

And we stand, looking out into the stars,
the infinite cosmos,
the birth and death of life
like a shimmer of gloaming light upon water,
and we marvel the endless beauty of infinite space,
and see once again,
that divine hand of providence,
life growing, transforming,
and in beauteous display
light pervading the heavens,
and surging in the struggle to be.

Beauty is intrinsic in life,
the spectacular explosions and fiery exchanges
as life in passionate conflict
fights for place, for existence,
and we just a brief sparkle of light in time,
witness of what we are a part,
an integral cell of an organism
of which is also a cell in relativity,
and to the ends of time shall it be so,
as life finds a way,
and that loving intent prevails.
