Crisp Quiet Ease

Crisp Quiet Ease of day released…

Crisp Quiet Ease
Crisp Quiet Ease…as night transitions day

Quietly resounding like a distant melody,
a sweet honeysuckle wafting breeze,
as day turns to darker thoughts,
and light relents on day’s resort
to linger in tranquil gloaming.

And thoughts bereft of purpose
wander the ether,
untethered to the worries of life,
and set free by that fading light,
to pervade with beauty’s crest.

As sun crouches down, weary,
and pulls horizon over head,
to slumber find and clear the mind
of all that grime past does shed,
in the closing of a day.

And moon in crescent, powers up,
to fill those shadows with a luminous blue shift,
as life fades to a slower pace
and slumber calls to heal the rift,
as minds relent the process.

I breath that cool fresh air,
my lungs in gratitude for crisp quiet ease,
and muscles aching from day appeased,
by the beauty in passion found,
as night transitions day profound.

I generally write about seven works a day, including articles, for 5 different sites, including my own blog and website. I try not to post more than two or three here, but was encouraged to write what I wanted to help grow the site. Cheers!

Hi Tony. My computer was down for a few days, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I sure enjoyed reading these quiet reflective thoughts. Your poem is very pleasing and well-written.

Thanks Phyllis, I hate when computers are on the fritz, we depend on them so much, its like being cut off from the world when they’re out. Glad you back on line. Cheers!
