The Wondrous Flow of Life

The Wondrous Flow of Life
The Wondrous Flow of Life…to be beheld

Life flows like a gentle breeze,
honeysuckle tinged, in centripetal joy,
and each aspect a facet of diamond light,
set upon gold, as if in freedom’s flight,
and I see the flow of undulations,
the ebb and tides of balance sewn,
within every realm and state,
for a heart to witness and with love to sate.

The swoop of a starling, the call of the wren,
the joy of uplifting on warm air to send,
a mind to consider the majesty of it all,
the design of each facet, perfection in awe,
and I wonder if all life knows of its beauty,
in creation and evolution, in reflection and more,
a pure awareness of self, a sentient life given,
the thrill of being, the opportunity to soar.

I see leaves play joyfully in the wind,
their rustle like a shower, an epiphany,
as bows bend to accommodate with grace,
a soft harmonious symphony,
and creatures live within these trunks and branches,
a symbiotic plight of sharing,
as each aspect a miracle of perfection,
of life’s impeccable being.

Insects dance on waters and air,
like skating nymphs so delicate,
their trails like stardust, all silvery and clean,
as if to lead to heart-warming dreams,
and life forages and grazes upon the rich earth,
with eyes so innocent and accepting,
no thoughts of disdain or contention felt,
just the flow of days and nights been dealt.

And what a wonder we call life,
an inescapable dream of perfection,
for us to accept and share what’s sewn,
to uplift our base beginnings
and soar to heights unknown.

Isn’t it grand that we have the ability to see and appreciate the beauty in life? I wonder, too, if the dragonfly, butterfly, birds and other critters know of their own beauty and the pleasure they add to our life? Very thoughtful and enjoyable verse, Tony.
