The Freedom of Music

The Freedom of Music
The Freedom of Music…a soul experience

Music is my wings,
my emotions in flight-ed joy,
and no matter how deeply despaired,
that creative purity and eloquence of expression,
delivers a mind to joyous heights,
the music of a soul an epiphany,
a divine stairway to the beauty of being,
as like no other path.

Music is a soul reaching out,
an exquisite selfless giving
that if held, delivers emotions so elevated,
the soul embraces the music
and melds in a profound conglomeration
of limitless pleasure,
unrivalled by any other
afferent experience.

Music is memory,
a resounding link to experience,
connected in profound ways to all we hold dear,
and each moment of life may be intensified
by the meaning and flow of music,
like a creative portal to past, present and future,
in motivation, in love, in creativity,
and we are raised up by its beauty and passion.

Music is one of my passions,
a link to higher thought and pure love,
as its creation is beyond the physical,
beyond the mundane considerations of life,
rather a link to the beauty I seek,
the expression that makes me whole
and opens this heart to limitless possibility
in a world of seeming restraint.

Beautifully said Tony! Music is such a part of life and connected to so much of life, I agree. We cannot always be dancers but our souls will always sway to the music, won’t they?

Yes, music is a profound trigger to our emotions and soul and touch us in ways like nothing else can. Glad you enjoyed it Jackie.

I love this verse, Tony. Music is one of those things in life that enrich and awaken our passions. My family has always had music surrounding us in life. Thank you for writing this piece.

PS: I notice the shadow of the woman in the image is a wolf. The wolf has a special song, music to honor Nature and his whole life.

Apt then, that wolf in the background. So pleased you enjoyed the work. Being a musician, music has had a profound influence on my life and opened doors of experience that otherwise could have remained closed. Glad you connected and appreciated it. Take care.

I love music and I love poetry. And I love how beautifully both come together here to lift us to worlds beyond! I came to this site because of your poems that Phyllis shared on FB. And I’m so glad I can read your wonderful poetry!
