The Emerging Scheme
Emerging Spring…
I watch the leaves sprout from deadwood,
as if green upon painted grey,
and blossoms push for freedom’s call,
to sunlight bath in pristine white the day,
as slumbered life awakens slow,
beckoned by increasing warmth,
and sun does reach to higher realms,
smiles broad in afferent eyes.
Spring hums in building guile,
as yet to sing its chorus bold,
a slow and rising growing life,
embodied all of nature’s worth,
and life of every color, type and form
alights from dark and rested nooks,
to imbibe the goodness of season’s turn,
and propagate for times to come.
Flowers spring up like dots on fields,
decorations of colored yield,
bending to greet the sun on high,
like soldiers attention stood,
saluting mother’s sweet intent
as understood,
and birdsong echoes like chorus,
inspired tones and notes of harmony.
How I love this emerging scheme,
blooms and leaves like newborn things,
and purity paves a way forward,
through the past dull and gloomy night,
to find in warmth days delight,
as tempo up to greet the flow,
prepares for halcyon days to come,
family rich and dreams all done.

Spring is a glorious awakening and rebirth. It is nice to know that spring is blooming where you are as we are in late autumn. I love all seasons, but these two are my favorite. Lovely and uplifting verse,
Tony, nicely penned.
Much appreciated Phyllis, a beautiful warm spring day here. Take care
