Silver Upon Silver

 Silver bangles.

silver strands in the hair.

Silver tears

and new found fears.

Clouds with silver linings –

bringing you tomorrows shining.

Silver birds flying close to the sun,

silver dreams and happy schemes.

Silver rings,

silver spoons

and many, many moons.

Silver cups,

silver plates

and forks and knives,

all look the same.

What is your name?

Silver spider webs,

shining in the sun,

silver dreams,

over tables laden with silver cakes,

along with silver pots,

pouring fragrant tea –

Will you come dine with me?

Silver songs,

silver toys

and silver spinning tops..

Silver haired pets

and silver days.

People who have things to say,

with silver tongues.

Silver moons and stars,

many silver summer Junes.

Silver hearts and souls.

Silver thoughts,

silver moods.

Silver is the sky above,

silver here and silver there –

silver hi and low.

How do you know?

Silver waves upon the sea,

silver ripples shining in the sun.

Silver may come

and silver may go.

Does it weigh as much as gold?

Silver reflections in a mirror,

ripples sending silver streams,

across silent lakes,

reflecting silvery moonbeams.

Silver tunes –

that jingle and jive.

Silver planes high in the sky,

bringing lovers back one to another.

Silver daydreams,

silver kisses in the twilight

and so try as I may –

I’ve run out of silver threads.

Now watching them flying away,

blown by a silver wind –

that whispers back to me.

So delightful, so many silver things – I love silver, it is so clean and pure. That image you have of the heart is so pretty. Fun to read poem, Rasma. I enjoyed it.

Glad you enjoyed it Phyllis. One of those sudden inspirations that just worked out fine. I found the images on Pixabay.

All this made silver wings come to mind and the song, do you remember it? Very beautiful. I do miss having songs with the poetry. You fill the mind with silver for sure, well done.

Yes, nice song. Glad you enjoyed this. I don’t know Jackie. I usually put a song that inspired my poetry on HP but not on other sites. Then a few times I did put a video with my poetry on my WP blog but I don’t know if it really made that much of a difference. At least no one has said so.

A lovely rendition of all things silver and with a myriad of images, like pieces of a puzzle. Nicely penned and imaginative work Rasma. Cheers!
