Motives and Failure

Motives and Failure
Motives and Failure…expectation

Failure’s response….

The baleful cries echo in contrast,
to the chosen paths taken,
where hope once lived then died,
where dreams were crushed and forsaken.

They moan and blame and in anger shriek,
yet it was their intent, their choice,
and dreams are not always steadfast,
delivering gifts in quiet calm voice.

The wrath is only surpassed by hatred,
of self and all that cross their path,
when wanted life is placated,
and a fool enlists blame as art.

Knowing life is not malevolent,
not pointedly against any person,
those that forge paths for self,
find circumstances uncertain.

One cannot demand of the universe,
we an infinitesimal blink of life,
expecting our will to be fully endowed,
with all that life can prescribe.

Our wants and challenges
are subject to our thoughts and actions,
’tis more how we do it than what we do,
that secures the results we’ve attracted.

So complaints are futile,
anger just ill-temper, a tantrum,
when we don’t get what we want,
time to ask what we did to fail,
selfish motives and actions demanded.

You always have something to write that helps me look within and correct what needs to be corrected, for sometimes, when I feel pain and hurt, I fall off balance, lose my way for a bit. Your words help me to regain balance and harmony within. Thank you, Tony.
