In Time…they say
They say time heals, but only understanding does

In time they say,
as if its fleeting measure heals all things,
for what is time but memories fixed,
and our anticipation of hope;
yet when loss and hurt and sufferings singes life
with malicious and dark resolve,
time just dissipates, falls from reality,
as we in Hades smell the sulphur burn,
trapped in pain at every turn,
as time just sits and waits.
Time heals nothing,
for its beat just reminds us of all we’ve lost,
and the pain of cost ticks away
in slow and painful decay,
protracting the very sense of what time is,
a measure that itself can change,
slow and speed and impede our experience,
our sentient mind aware
and reeling from lack of care,
when life turns dark and cold.
What heals a soul is understanding,
an acceptance of reality, of pain and loss,
and knowing there is purpose,
reason beyond our petty reflections of self,
rather an existence of ultimate balance,
deemed not by time but process,
and time both a burden and a freedom,
is simple a perception chosen,
a mind willing to exist in the present,
regardless of time.

Very well stated life lesson, Tony. It is very helpful to me. Great work.
Thanks Phyllis, yes understanding is what we need most, being able to see without prejudice, that which falls upon our shoulders and creates imbalance. Glad you related. Cheers!
It is easy to blame everything on time, and relate everything we do to the time we have to do it or the constraints it puts on us. It is really ourselves that we should look at and take responsibility for doing or not doing something. Time is just a concept or perception. Great job, Tony.
Thanks John, glad you appreciated it. Time is indeed a concept not a reality. Cheers!
