Forever in My Heart…remembered

Remembered always… the first

Forever remembered
Forever in My Heart…remembered

How can I relent on memories,
that take me back to my beginnings,
when I knew nothing,
fumbled and misunderstood your being,
you body so intriguing, inviting;
and I wished I’d known the key
and given you
what would have transformed us,
and made our bond far deeper.

Youth, stumbling, awkward youth,
when we were so driven to pleasure,
yet so inept to acquire it,
living on the fringe of knowledge,
the mind too complex to understand
what love could have delivered,
yet your body still ignites me,
back then so taut and tanned,
and we, neck deep in passion.

When you left I was devastated,
you every touch and kiss elated me,
and without you
I suffered my first lesson of loss,
my first broken heart,
and your scent, your taste,
your lips so familiar,
the memory still flood me,
and I regret not having known who you became,
before life ended you in pain.

Your name still rings true within me,
my first love, my first broken heart,
moments that resound in life,
and you, forever in my heart.

Tony, this is such a loving tribute to your first love. So many firsts you shared with her, even your first broken heart. This is so special, for it was such an important part of who you are today. Very nice and beautiful.

My kind of poem Tony and wanted to say I think the photo is perfect. I was even trying to find something along those lines but I don’t think you could do better. I am sure everyone will think so.

Thank you Jackie, glad you appreciated the work. It often takes as long to find the right picture as it does the write the poem LOL.
