Deep Blue Eyes…Our Home of Earth

Blue Eyes, the color of home

Deep Blue Eyes
Deep Blue Eyes…

Blue observations…

The endless ebb of tides,
the relentless movement of life,
like the moon a spin upon a string,
glimmered from crescent to full moon light,
as over and over it simmers in a violet sky,
dotted with a million plumes,
life a field of countless coloured blooms,
blinking through the night.

The sigh of rest is inviting,
when weary bones and day’s trials passed,
to imbibe one million moments,
each breath a sentient knowing asked,
to just acknowledge life’s sweet nod,
its very opportune array,
and to register the beauty given,
in the timeless, sensory parade.

World spins in light and shadow,
a spinning top of deep blue eyes,
sat between so many,
in sun’s aspired warm surprise,
silent in its motion, majestic in its flow,
the grinding wheels of existence
a wonder, a miracle to know,
that we are part of it all.

Such a blessed gift that we are part of this wonder of the Universe. Living in the desert gives me wide open skies to enjoy. When I sit outside at night and gaze at the moon and stars I feel so small, but never insignificant, knowing I am part of it all. I was out back a little while ago, where it is dark, and getting lost in the sky is a great way to leave all stress behind. Beautiful verse, Tony.

Thanks Phyllis, yes its the little things, noticing, observing all life that keeps us engaged. Those lost in the day to day drudgery are missing out on so much. take care.

Gahh. ..I love your verse about the universe, this one a favorite I think. The flow is impeccable, and the imagery of stars as a garden in bloom, just beautiful. I am reminded of Desiderata…

”You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees & stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”

Thank you for this piece…as you would say…’Kudos’

    Best,
    Mel

Pleased it connected with you Mel, and that Desiderata quote a perfect statement of truth. Much appreciated my friend.
