A Necessity of Truth

Silence bares a necessity of truth,
an arena of quiet consideration,
where the cacophony of life cannot reach,
and in this sanctum one can release
all that in time detracts from purpose.
Without silence we are overwhelmed,
and the play of life like a passing train,
gone before we can behold it,
and in that confusion of movement,
what do we truly know?
We know little when the pace of life
is beyond our perspective,
a mind forced into overdrive,
just to remain on our feet,
is all that can be accomplished.
Yet in quiet moments,
our silence of need and balance,
we may see beyond the mundane tribulations of day,
the blurred movement of time passing,
and know what is important within the flow.
Silence bares a necessity of truth,
that we must yield to the havoc of life,
and accept that much is beyond our control,
thus finding silence to administer what is,
and in that find peace.

It is so calming to go into the silence. There are places here in the desert that are so quiet my mind can really open up to my own truths. Some places are so peaceful I want to stay there. Grimes Point is one such place. Great piece and lesson, Tony. It took me to places I love. Well done indeed.
Thanks Phyllis, tis a necessity, just to remain sane in this world of chaos. Cheers
