No Convincing a Liar

No Convincing a Liar…they believe their lies

No Convincing a Liar
Liars come undone…

Immersed I may be, surrounded
by the muttering of delusions,
as they circle my bed, like vultures,
awaiting my sleep, my stillness
for malevolent attack,
to fill my mind with lies and beliefs
untenable in reality, yet
a colorful spectacle,
a show of right for the lost mind,
so woven within their own delusions,
truth has long run off,
in shadow only can you find.

As real and unquestioned
these lies can be,
they have a stench, an acrid reminder
of what lost minds can see,
and there is no reason,
no logic that plays out here,
for minds lost to their own delusions
sit upon their truth as hard as earth,
even with proof in contradiction,
can only be a lie to them, no conclusion,
because their world is right and all else wrong,
there is no convincing a liar.
