The Lie…a pleasured sin

The Lie…

The Lie
The Lie…a pleasured sin

Lies afford circumstance…

Lies believed
are the forked paths of reality’s dream,
alternate paths of truth it seems,
that congest our circumstances,
and in their following
we become accustomed to their fantasy,
and the vision of truth and untruth is blurred,
lost the sight of eyes adept.

The more you surround yourself with lies,
the more of a lie you become,
for reality is what you see, touch and feel,
concealed truth may be, and then
lies become the truth,
and in belief you follow the paths
and circumstances
that lies in construct, promote.

Lies can be convincing,
for what more can one expect,
as we all assume truth the furnished aspect,
and who opposes reason
when lies are believed by the liar,
emoted and given in faith,
gobbled up like candy,
to minds without question.

Each truth is tinted by a lie,
each lie tinted by truth, just to hedge all bets,
to deliver in acceptable capacity
and have the recipient drown in trust,
all for the perpetuation of some plan
of acceptability, of gain or control,
a lust for compromising others
for your own pleasured sin.

And so we each build our own castle. The foundation is either truth or falsehoods. Why is truth so hard for some to express? Like a weak foundation, lies will eventually lead to collapse and destruction. Well penned work, Tony.

Much appreciated Rasma, yes lying is a downward spiral of deceit that sooner or later is paid for in not so pleasant way. Cheers!
