In the Wake of Troubled Life
Troubled …when the world closes in

Like colliding planets
days of perpetual obstacles ensue,
when life missteps, trips over itself,
and we the feel of all that incoherency
bend under its incessant wake.
As if all crises amass on queue,
steal one moment to discombobulate our view,
then burden our minds with a weighted woe,
an inescapable circumstance to face,
dealing with what is thrown.
Those days, those moments do stir anxiety,
when whipped up like a tempest roar,
and no matter what steps we take,
the crisis spins more and more to make
our lives frustrating.
But when breath is stilled,
and dust settles on those explosions,
then one disaster at a time is mastered,
the balance restored, and
the avalanche of doom implored to cease.
Then the waves relent to gentle,
life suddenly ebbs to flow,
as our dizzy spell of overload
now settles to consider,
a calm and weary winter, turned to spring.

“Those days” sure are disruptive. One disaster, one moment at a time till all is settled. Very well expressed verse, Tony.
Glad you enjoyed it Phyllis. Cheers
