Forged From Steel
No Limits…
Forged from steel, bound to flesh,
a mind cannot but consider, reflect
the resilience of its resolve, to survive
within this endless path of being,
and in breath our sentient streaming,
to exact our wants onto the world.
Some pale into insignificance,
others rise to heights not imagined,
yet the steel is unrepentant,
always there to bare the wounds of life, of strife,
and to allow us to rise again, to survive
our own folly and its understanding.
Life is not the measure
of accomplishment recognized,
not fame nor wealth defines, and yet
that steely spine innate within us,
cannot support a weakened mind,
and so we may fall to ourselves, not life.
Life has endowed us with all we need,
to succeed, to prevail,
and yet we blame it in irrepressible constancy,
for all we in our own minds create, deviate
from our chosen paths
and do ourselves wrong.
There is nothing we cannot survive,
as strength resides innate within us,
tis the mind that betrays us, in giving up,
in half full cups and losing all our confidence,
and so we must find that strength
and know we can achieve anything, if we try.

Yes, Tony. We are forged from steel. The Bible says God won’t burden us with more than we can endure. Sometimes that is difficult to accept, but if we have the right attitude and don’t give up it is usually the case. A good message.
