Ever Those Horizons

Horizons…where new beginnings reside

Ever Those Horizons
Ever Those Horizons…where truth evolves

Still, I cannot see my own beliefs
without questioning horizons,
that warm fading light led beguiled into night,
entreats yet another secret.

So I am a sponge a vessel never filled,
truth at the end of my tongue,
awaiting revelation, new information,
to add to my gleaned life conclusions.

But conclusions there are none,
for horizons change, endlessly,
and secrets told do fill my pictures of truth,
one jig-saw piece at a time.

Constantly fed, yet always hungry,
I cannot stand upon ceremony,
hold to laurels assuming truth,
without first turning to that old horizon.

Who knows what next I’ll know,
secrets held against my will,
come spilling out as if from spout
and drenching all my notions.

I then just sit and brew,
thumb through my ruminations
and consider what they’re worth,
and dare not conclude or puff up with delusions.

My beliefs then sit upon a shelf,
brewing nicely, as I throw codicils,
ever adding to their state, and me
forever perceiving their mistakes.

Nice Tony, I admire that about you…always searching, open to take it all in and contemplate. I still don’t know when you sleep, but your determination to find truth is inspiring. Enjoyed it.

    Best,
    Mel
