Each Breath…Meditation

The secret breath of meditation…
Precious air, invisible life,
each breath the simplicity of being,
that rise and fall so eloquent in delivery;
and like an explosion of intent,
it pervades our every cell,
feeding life from life,
as if passing on the legacy of time,
endless.
Beneath the husk of life
is more than an eye can see,
each movement and gesture of purpose
is like a symphony,
and I wonder with wide-eyed expectation,
about the enormity of creation,
an omniscient hand
beyond comprehension.
Yet, with marvel
can I observe each rise and fall,
each cycle of sagacious play
is fashioned from a mind to ensue, to stay,
within the infinity of time;
and my heart knows well,
and in gratitude it swells
to appreciated each single sentient breath.
And within precious silence,
the breath leads us to calm waters,
where mind and soul contained, express,
and to know this inner sanctum,
this secret space beyond the flesh,
is to find the movement and peace of being,
and in that the quelling of fear,
the gentle understanding of purpose.

Ahhh! Breathe deeply. Beautiful verse that makes me feel refreshed with each breath taken. Very nice, Tony. Did you get your CPAP?
Thanks Phyllis, no not yet, but I bought some sticky tapes that keep your nostrils open for 30% more oxygen and that has helped but I still have to sleep upright. Its been tolerable but I can’t wait for it to arrive. Glad you enjoyed the poem. Cheers!
