Open-minded…our path in life
The path of life is never-ending…
Can this be all, what end do I see,
one thing falls and another seems to be,
so life goes on, its own endowment meant,
reflections of my path without lament,
as one answer given in time,
then a question follows as if in rhyme
for me to solve.
There is no end, for it just blends,
each step upon an endless road,
often smooth, sometimes jagged, loose,
but still the road continues,
and we in step, find our rhythm,
bruised and cut yet on path delivered
to the realization of life’s ride.
I cannot give too much to a step,
care too much that I’ve met
the pressures I place upon myself,
and on this ride we glean slowly to survive,
learn to accept what can and can’t abide
a heart’s knowing will,
so I continue, open-minded.

One step at a time, one day at a time – we stumble, we fall, we rise again to carry on, following our intended path. Seems to me, Tony, you are a survivor. Not just a survivor really, but an achiever. You are heart and soul following your own path with an open mind. Great work, Tony.
Thanks Phyllis, I indeed follow my own path much to the disapproval of others often; but I know what’s important in my life and nothing deters me from being who I am. Take care.
