Karma

Karma …

Karma
Karma…my life of opposites.

Sound settles upon my thoughtless mind,
weary and resting from its relentless din,
and all I hear is a buzzing, the silent echo,
where nothing draws a line.

Immersed I am in this inner state of peace,
where abject silence finds a voice,
to bring me to a new level of woe,
screaming soundless cries released.

Nowhere to hide, no solitude,
just what alone now manifests,
in overwhelming and transforming presence,
of crowds of souls, a weighted magnitude.

What ironies must I endure,
pursuits the ending with opposites,
from screaming silence to crowds alone,
what hope is there for my wants so skewed.

Perhaps what I seek is departed from the real,
and maybe if I ask for noise and chaos,
peace in all its glory will descend,
and in my thoughtless mind, a seal.

Life is such a puzzle, an enigma,
and I a simple being trying to remain standing,
again, perhaps I should just lay down and accept,
to backwards find my Karma.

Tough task you give yourself, Tony. I have been spiritually working on my self and past karma. It is not easy, but I have managed to clear up, or at least understand, some of it. When reasons for what is going on in life now become clear, some sort of peace eventually settles in to replace the “crowd of souls” and the karma. These thoughts you pen are so much like ones that swirl in my mind when I go within. I can hear the “silent screams” at times. Well expressed thoughts, Tony. Do you think karma ever really goes away or must we linger with it all our life?

Karma is ongoing, an eternal state of being as is all aspects of life in balance, and so we must endure its presence. Glad you related and it made you think. The soul carries much more than we can, at one time understand, so all we can do is deal one thing at a time and cumulatively we grow in understanding. And endless topic of conversation Phyllis. Take care.
