Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope

For all my dispositions,
for all my bravado nouveau,
with all I wish in proposition,
and in abiding by the flow;
I can but see the radiance
of who I am inside,
not the reflection of my countenance,
but the truth I cannot hide.
In life we are chameleon,
changing color in the camouflage of truth,
our souls the parry of circumstance,
divided, amalgamated but true;
each moment of our cognizance,
moods like colors changing hue,
proposed each and every visage availed,
to ensure that we ensue.
Yet truly do I bleed and hurt,
and truly do I fall and die,
and what I utter in all my moods
will never be a lie;
just the echo of a heart seeking survival,
and an invitation to know me well,
the colors I emit my kaleidoscope,
colors deep and vibrant still.

I love this verse, Tony. “just the echo of a heart seeking survival, and an invitation to know me well,” – very nice, indeed. Well done.
Thanks Phyllis, all written in between car runs toting garbage, bottles and the like. There’s so much we have to organize a big metal skiff tp remove all the unwanted stuff. I’m aching from head to toe, not used to this enforced physicality. lol
Hi Tony,
That picture really captured my attention – oh yeah, the poem – it was great as usual. “I can but see the radiance of who I am inside . . .” We all need to take that inner look for surely that’s the part others don’t see. Thank you.
That was beautiful. TONY.
Glad you enjoyed it Amy.
Glad you related and enjoyed Bill. Much appreciated.
