Emotions Flow

Emotions Flow

Emotions Flow, like crashing waves

The surge of emotion
is like a wave breaking on an infinite shore,
its rolling height then thunderous crashing
to the gentle lapping
across the sands of eternal multitude;
the tears, the epiphany
and the sigh of gratitude,
all a blessing of our afferent capacity.

One finds such beauty
within emotion’s beguiling caress,
as it rushes within, to address,
from stillness to rising torrents,
aspiring to peaks of tender pain so unrestrained
to deliver us to blissful heights
and sensual delights,
that redefine what pleasure is.

And beauty remains in so many things,
in art and gifts, of words and voice
as music uplifts our souls,
and nature’s rhymes and forms and signs
like love letters to our yearning,
entreat our hearts to warm blessings whole,
that take us beyond the mundane stillness of life,
to realms beyond our expectations.
