A Societal Peace
Civility marks my path as I invest in kindness,
hold respect as a paradigm of worth,
regardless of what form of life;
I always try to be aware
of each and every circumstance
that drives thought to action.
In this there can be no blame,
for given circumstance may change any of us,
to act or voice hatred or worse without thought,
so when we deliberate the will of enforcement,
may we all reflect on our own imperfection,
and understand the paths of others.
Society demands parameters for survival,
and that propagates the enforcement of laws,
and in that perpetrating both force or even violence
to protect the innocent, the society as a whole,
for the common good and ongoing control
of the order within which we live.
However,
let not our judgement cloud the issues of law,
for hearts to find bias in race, religion or creed,
no matter how people appear as a group within circumstance,
for we all have choices and pressure to conform,
and often that can cross the will of society,
the given laws that must force compliance.
Judgement then cannot fulfill the truth of many,
for each of us are individual,
yet may conform to the group,
and in that be marginalized,
in the eyes of the laws of society,
and so persecution may ensue,
where bias becomes truth and is then adopted as belief,
thus creating hatred, division and conflict.
This is the way of the world,
filled with conflict and division,
rather than the focus on tolerance and understanding,
the kindness that allows difference as individuality,
and therefore as long as people and society’s laws are respected,
then life is at peace,
each soul following their own paths of enterprise
and fulfilling their dreams.

In some respects a perfect Utopia can exist, conforming to rules and laws, if not too restrictive or confining and enforced by a dictatorship, or ruler domination that abides by cruelty, and hatred to it’s subjects. I adhere to your first opening stanza Tony, peace is my aim, morality, kindness my gain. Though I know our world if filled with racism, hatred, cruelty, murderers, genocidal acts. I truly believe a new world order is present and unless mankind changes it’s ways and aims towards peace and love for one another, our world is doomed. Very well expressed, you covered many important areas of living in this present world.
