The Blue
Tony DeLorger © 2016
That blue, that luminescent blue,
that hint of eternal depth,
the veil of so many stars and life unseen;
I become lost in your countenance,
and white plumes so elegantly placed upon your face,
entreats a heart to sigh,
the wonder of your truth so far from my seated place.
I lay on grasses plush to imbibe the skies,
the vast and open ceiling of the world,
and ascending onward beyond your pleasured smile,
heavens gate and the interminable plight of souls,
aspiring from this earthen world,
the learning of a soul unfurled,
to find that seed within.
I am alone beneath your immense estate,
a heart all warmed by potentials now to sate,
yet here upon the green bed of my dreams,
blooms reach out to touch the sun,
to clothe my mind with purpose it seems,
as all reflects one truth in simplicity’s plea,
that we are all of the one magnificent dream.
And so that blue imbues my mind
with such freedom held,
the knowledge that whatever glimmers beyond,
is part of me and me of its resolve,
to propagate this wondrous life,
give thanks for every day and night,
with each breath a vow restored.

I often look up in my quiet time, I see the blue, the cotton ball clouds and know that beyond lays celestial space. Her glory magnificent, the planets in abundance. I wonder who may be doing the same and wondering who is beyond their solar system too. Back here on earth, everything above our vision is truly an amazing mystery. The blue skies and pillows it rests on entices us to wonder in our dreams what is beyond our vision. I feel at peace when I am one with a blue sky. Yet I find equal enjoyment when the rain falls, skies darken, lightning striking all around. It’s then I feel the might of the Universe speaking to me. I whisper back, please go gentle into the goodnight. Beautifully expressed Tony as always, you sir have a way with mother nature, fully descriptive, I see clearly when you pen.
Much appreciated Vincent, Nature is indeed an inspirations for writing, for her expressions are endless and one can’t help but consider her every moment. Thanks my friend.
