I Am a Reflection

Avowed of my most inner truths,
I seek only to express the animal of human form,
none too certain as to who relates
to the reality of this our imperfect state,
and the sacrifice of self, my compromise,
the blood on the sleeve evaluations of me,
I can only speak of what I believe.

In this quest of self transparency,
the blood-letting impositions of truth’s scarring affront,
I am relentless, yet breakable,
and determined that those who engage me,
learn of themselves through my eyes,
the harsh realities of veiled truth,
hidden deeply within each and everyone of us.

I am reflection, from hearts to souls,
from words to heart, onward from heart to soul,
a mirror of life, seen and conveyed,
and for each soul that in truth is made,
tis not me but truth that yields reward,
as life unfolds and understanding takes hold
to better express this journey called life.

My purpose given, my truth in mirrored light,
my paradigm of my perfect life,
and knowing it is so, moves me
to pass on this revelation, this aspiration,
of transparency, a luminosity of light,
that opens hearts and souls,
to better know themselves.

We are as mirrors to others – so true, Tony. I often wonder what is reflected to others through myself. Do others see a part of their own self in me? A wonderful thought to ponder on. You often write thoughts that stir thoughts within me. I love pondering on life and how we reflect or affect others. Deep thoughts are always swirling in my head till they settle in my heart and soul. Thanks for expressing life so well, Tony.

A pleasure, and I too spend much time contemplating life and always inquisitive as to what others perceive. Glad you enjoy my sojourns Phyllis; regardless of age, there is always something more to know, too understand, and I for one, will never cease to appreciate the complexity of existence. Take care.
