Poets That I Know

Poets That I Know

poets
In Montana thinking about writing and poets

Are we not but one ,
us writers .
Do we ever go anywhere or  do anything
that we are not paying our way
by the pen ?
That we are not borrowing our moments
from the pages of time,
today as you reach down to
touch the colors of  flowers
in the bed outside
your door .
Or as you take the wheel and stare through
a windshield
passing fields and flora
through a forest glen.
Know that you are never alone
never lonely.
We are right there beside you
the pen
the paper
the reader.

Sometime in my life, I started to write about my life journey, in poetry, in story perhaps to sort them out and enter them into a place of safekeeping. The soul of the writer is perhaps best described in their words, emotions and thoughts. If these poems or stories touch something inside you then maybe I have succeeded in sharing. I will not write about my self in profile, because self isn't so important in writing. Only the journey in words and the sharing are important. Why would we say "Now about me!"... I'd rather write about life, nature, serenity ...

How true my friend, life is full of inspiration for our creative pens. There isn’t a day that goes by that doesn’t move or stir my soul. The slightest thing, emotions rise and creativity begins. I am so happy to be associated with friends who understand a poet’s journey, each and every day is but an adventure in study and expression. Thank you for being a friend Ed.

So true Ed, we do have a different take on life, every experience, every moment simply fodder for the pen. I guess that’s why we all so relate to one another, as we are kindred spirits on a journey that is both difficult yet filled with beauty. A fine rendering my friend.
