No Omniscient Imposition

Absolute, irrefutable proof,
that belief is as corrupt as our minds perfect,
so why do we invest our souls in paradigms given,
when where they’re from is just another man’s cause,
another man’s imperfect answer to his delusion,
and yet we hold close our fears to prop up belief,
give it reason, a broad pervasion of truth,
when none shall pass the test, let alone
amass conclusion.

How we delude ourselves
for the momentary comfort of mind,
relinquishing all responsibility to deities,
when life is our concern alone, to venture, to learn,
and losing ourselves in contentious belief,
is like giving up, passing the buck,
to resign from our blame of self,
in righteous cause of course,
so we may sleep in the bosom of guiltless foundation.

Yet we all seem to need a reason,
more than the gift of life itself,
to render a life as best we may and in a positive way,
to glean the beauty of every gift given,
and still I ask, why does God need to saves us,
our mistakes are our learning path,
and why do we think God made us,
to use him to cleanse our every aftermath,
I think not.

Life is ours to forge, in good and in bad,
our happiness and our sadness
the consequence of our thoughts and actions,
and the struggle that is meant to be life,
where love is aspired to, hate is contrived,
and the balance we find is our teacher,
each and every moment our choices, beseeching
existence to guide us through darkness
and deliver us through understanding.

The best one can do is follow a path that leads to love and peace, experience the interference and hurt from others then stand up and go forward again. To blame others then depend on God or other deities to fix things is not conducive to learning. This planet is a University, a place to learn and grow. Well stated in this piece, Tony.

Glad you appreciated it Phyllis, yes its a long road of learning, some lessons pleasant others arduous, but I guess that’s the point: to experience life in all its possibilities. Take care.
