Tis love that guides a life to worth,
the value of life within it, transformative,
eclipsing all that we so ardently aspire to,
in the comfort of physical security;
yet when love is held like a delicate bloom,
it cannot be compared, assumed,
just taken in surrender to all it is,
to clothe a life with meaning.

Beauty finds not its place
until love imbues a heart complete,
until the acknowledgement of purity
tolls like a chapel bell, a sound so sweet;
and all the doubts of worried hearts
just fall to acceptance,
and love warms all in radiant hues
and life in colour and vibrant contrast bemused.

For love’s nectar is so alluring
as to redefine life’s course,
and build around that precious core,
a life in pleasure at the periphery;
inspired all by love’s recourse,
to glean all greener pastures,
for life is black and white without love’s embrace,
yet within its light, a pathway to heaven’s gate.

      Thanks Rasma, glad you enjoyed it; love poetry is something I have to wrote every now and then, I guess I’m a romantic at heart. Cheers!

    Yes! So beautiful, Tony. Life is not complete without love.

    Without love life is but the deepest abyss, not worth living, for without love, life is but dull and void of purpose or meaning. Many of us have lost love, and go to our graves, a mere shadow of loves embrace.
