Nearly Asleep
Heavy eyes as I lightly inhale
The heavenly perfume of lavender
Soft tendrils of rich vanilla smoke
Swirling and entwining
Jasmine with hints of Gardenia flowers
Captivating, yet calming
Kissing my thoughts with dreams to come
Ancient forests smells
Cedar and rosewood
Spices and herbs from faraway lands
Exotic mysteries
As I exhale, new sounds
Rain falling
Twilight on the lush jungle canopy
A black sand beach inviting the waves
Sentinels of the night
Calling out
Our unhurried whispers
Fingers woven loosely
Soft breathing
Lips brush
Sleep
Dreamland
The sultry fog of darkness slips in
Wrapping my mind in a faded warm blanket
The outside remains outside
No artificial light
Deeper and deeper into slumber
Knocking at the door to paradise
Enjoying the abstractions
Vivid colors unimaginable in daylight
An enchanted rose garden
Downy feathers line the walkways
A journey into amazement
Each step a precious eternity
And always you
Our hands never apart
Hearts ever joined
Happy perfection
Passionate kisses
Laughter, hugs
And always
Bliss
Waking Thoughtfully
The veil lifted for another sunrise
A moment when woozy is comfortable
Sunlight and coffee entice
Yet the time to move hasn’t arrived
Lingering spices still hang in the air
Copious silky locks on your pillow
The sensuous curve of a hip
Radiating warmth
Emanating serenity
Still swaddled in the cradle of sleep
My sight crystalized in admiration
Mind steadfast and true
Tis now and always thinking of you
Each second is but
One drop in the waterfall
Cascading
Blissfully between
Passion and joy
Melting into one another
Souls embracing
Bodies racing

What a sensual delight between a couple. RJ you take the reader through your labyrinth of pleasures, from the beginning to the end.
