Questions
Moving from each second to each minute to each hour and then to every year in our lives we form questions that really have no answers. We think we know what we are doing. We have plans and make strides to accomplish those goals and think we are moving in the correct direction. Life then throws us enough curveballs of reality that often we have to sidestep into a totally different direction. We begin to have questions if we really have it all together or if fate is in control and just a fickle mess. The truth of the matter is that in the end we only have more questions.
Questions
Often you may question – where do I go from here?
Should I just live my life as if I was only a sightseer?
Am I a dreamer without a good sense of direction?
Should I ask myself questions knowing my answers will not be perfection?
Will I move on knowing it is probably not the perfect time?
Will each obstacle in my life forever be an uphill climb?
Maybe I stop asking questions of myself that are pained and hurtful?
If I move in a different direction will it hurt me and be regretful?
Is my personal free will only a pipe dream and an illusion?
Year after year will my life always be in total confusion?
Are the hardships in my life making me stronger?
Will the rollercoaster of my life just get longer and longer?
Should I change the standards that I judge myself?
Or should I keep letting my past failures and history repeat itself?
Are my intentions for others always for their own good?
The wrong turns in my life are they the results of my childhood?
Have I loved family, friends, and spouses with my whole heart?
Having so many questions – I am not even sure where I should start?

You got that right, Kurt – always questioning ourselves throughout life. Leo Buscaglia said that when we pass on and reach those gates above the only question left to ask is “Have you been You?” We continually question ourselves which helps us to reach our full potential. Great thinking and work on this piece. Well done.
Sometimes Phyllis we need to question ourselves since we keep repeating past failures that have plagued us in our lives. I know I need to do this from time to time. Thanks for your kind words on this piece.
All questions I have asked myself. I figure life is just a “fickle mess.” Great write and excellent read. Jamie
Thanks for commenting Jaime – There are never any answers for sure – once you think you are headed in right direction “bang” life intervenes… I am with you most times it is a “fickle mess”
