Rest – Surrender Your Earthly Engagements

Rest my darling,
Surrender true, your earthly engagements
Sighted visions of unkempt tales
Whispers of minute amplifications
Destined distractions and roaming voice
Free the depths of forever thinking
And sail forth into the land of dreams
Make no worries, for none shall be had
As time permits you an extension
Nay, an escalation of eternity
The horizon more than an event in passing
Whole no longer the sum of parts
Fullness but conceptual in its vastness
Openings nearing ever-changing closures
Down into the depths of spirit
Careful carelessness, unguided and pure
Give lucid thoughts sporting reigns
Energy the winding lane
Singularity a complex equation
Inclinations are but premonitions
Seek beloved, yes, seek the entity
Not lost in the vastness
Sighted but hidden in fragrance and color
Draped in illuminated darkness
Neither a contrast nor collision
Only that which is and has always been
The truest reflection of you
Patient in its waiting
Present in turning the wheels of becoming
Yet separate, observant, overflowing with magick
Reach effortlessly, motionless
Mindful shall the answered call
Soulful sounds of connection
That which lovingly watches
No longer reflective
Clarity welcomes alignment
As two

I write about everything and sometimes nothing at all. I'm fascinated by old things, rusty things, abandoned places, or anywhere that a secret might be unearthed. I'm passionate about history and many of my pieces are anchored in one concept of time or another. I've always been a writer, dating back to my youth, but the last decade has been a time of growth for me. I'm continually pushing the limitations of vocabulary, syntax, and descriptive phrasing.
