Beat-Up Jeep

Beat Up Jeep
Beat Up Jeep.

Life and those you love are a mysterious force of nature. Sometimes it is those that are hundreds, maybe thousands, of miles away from you can make you feel better than those right beside you. Could be, distance gives you a reason to cherish more, love harder than you ever thought possible. Maybe distance, and the miles across mountains, prairie, and rolling hills, is just a test to see how far love will travel. Maybe the open road, country tunes, and a road trip in a beat-up Jeep is what will heal your soul.

Beat Up Jeep

Sweetheart, all I got is this beat-up Jeep,

Miles away, time is scarce, pulled over to sleep.

Closing my eyes, flooded with memories of you,

In my heart, always been two of a kind, always true.

Beat up Jeep, is all I got, but packed full of loving passion,

Heading your way across the rolling hills, so we can cash in.

Across Colorado, Wyoming, and the Black Hills,

400 miles or more, in my beat-up Jeep with no frills.

Don’t you worry ‘bout the way the Jeep is packed,

‘Cause I’m carryin’ your love with me. That’s a fact.

All I care about is gettin’ back to you real soon,

Our tale is true. We meet again under a waning moon.

I’ll be traveling with the good Lord’s speed,

Across the far, lonely miles, it is you I need.

All I got is this beat-up Jeep, with an empty seat,

I need to fill it with you; wouldn’t that be sweet?

Dark and lonely highway stuck out in the rain.

Babe, all I had to do was speak your name.

The clouds rolled back, and the rain went away,

My love, our love, with the Lord had sway.

On this beat up Jeep, the sun started shining,

The sun, as the heavens above, started aligning.

Beat up Jeep, carrying everything I’ll ever need.

I’m carryin’ passion, my love, our love, with me.

Great work, Kurt. I love your beat up jeep. I have never been one for flashy vehicles. As long as they are reliable and get me from A to B I am happy.
