THE TARTARUS VARIANT

Kurt James’ thrilling dystopian adventure “The Tartarus Variant” is now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and a few shady bookstores.

The Tartarus Variant – 2019 saw the spread of the Coronavirus across the world. In time, the Coronavirus mutated into a different variant. Then, variants such as Delta, Omicron, and 12 other variants quickly engulfed the planet. In 2031, the Tartarus Variant became dominant. Humanity was on the brink of extinction because of the collapse of the world’s infrastructure. This is a one-man, one dog, and one horse’s story of survival. Then the story becomes something more when Dixon Mateo rescues a girl named Alba Jesse from a pack of wild dogs.

Sampling:

“What worried me the most about myself was I had lost count of the lives that I had taken since Tartarus had ravaged the world. Death faces haunted me at night sometimes; I had just added more faces to that carnival of lost souls that was deep within myself-conscious. To survive, it had become my second nature to kill. The 5% that had survived Tartarus, along with me, had been changed in the aftermath of the deadliest virus that the world had ever seen. It was not pretty what humanity had become. Had we lost our soul? Did we ever have one? Tartarus had laid its claim to those that it had not killed. It had transformed us into something that was not civilized anymore.”

Tartarus Variant is something different from his usual fare, and I liked it. He knocked this one out of the ballpark… I absolutely loved the ending.
